I first visited Rhyolite in 1964, during Nevada's Centennial. In '72, looking around I found a porcelon sign, which said; "Rhyolite Home Insurance Company." I took it home, looked at it for almost a year.
In 1973, I took the little sign back to Rhyolite and set it back on the ground where I had found it. I knew the Spirits were unhappy with me. I will miss Rhyolite when it is no more. Time is rapidly taking its toll. I was saddened to see time's work on the town in just a span of 40 years, ('64-'04)
